2018 Lingua Franca Estate Cher Amis Chardonnay

This wine comes from two very rocky sites on volcanic soils. Part of one vineyard is so shallow that there is hardly any topsoil at all, and basalt paragravels are visible at the surface. This makes for a flinty Chardonnay with multiple layers of saline and citrus flavor.
